ACT NO. 2599

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE PROVINCIAL BOARDS OF THE PROVINCES OF PALAWAN, MINDORO, AND BATANES TO EXTEND THE TIME FOR THE PAYMENT, WITHOUT PENALTY, OF THE TAXES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE PROVINCES

SECTION 1. The provincial boards of Palawan, Mindoro, and Batanes are hereby authorized, with the approval of the Secretary of the Interior and the Governor-General first had, to extend, by resolution, the time of the payment, without penalty, of all or part of any tax or taxes throughout the territory of their respective provinces for a period not to exceed six months, in any year, provided such extension is requested on account of a general failure of the crops or the existence of sufficient reasons justifying such extensions.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
