PROCLAMATION NO. 942
DECLARING FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31, 1971, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY
WHEREAS, the thirtieth day (Thursday) of December, 1971, and the first day (Saturday) of January, 1972, being holidays, the thirty-first day (Friday) of December 1971, may be declared a special public holiday to enable the people to enjoy an uninterrupted three-day holiday without prejudice to the public interest; CSDTac
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby proclaim Friday, December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and seventy-one, as a special public holiday.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
