In accordance with the pertinent provisions of the
1. Maritime programs which have substantially complied (85-99 percent) with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements shall be included in the CHED list to be submitted to IMO and shall be subject to strict monitoring and assessment which shall be done annually.
2. All others shall be given up to the end of March 1999 within which to substantially meet the IMO standards for inclusion in the succeeding CHED lists to be submitted to IMO. For this reason, schools may request for re-evaluation of their programs at any time during the aforementioned period. Maritime programs which will fail to comply within the period shall be closed effective June 1999.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
