MEMORANDUM FROM THE PRESIDENT

| SUBJECT | : | Simplification of Export and Import Rules and Review of the Philippine Export Development Plan |
You are hereby directed to identify measures that will further simplify export and import rules and regulations to minimize if not cut bureaucratic red tape.
As part of the continuing review of the Philippine Export Development Plan, you are further directed to harmonize the views and achieve consensus on the various export action plans of such agencies as the Department of Agriculture, Department of Tourism, and the Department of Science and Technology to improve the Plan.
Submit your recommendations to my Office, through the Executive Secretary, copy furnished the Head, Presidential Management Staff, not later than 30 May 1999 and every quarter thereafter.
